Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. Mission

Our Mission is to provide a caring, positive environment to those animals that have been either neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or those that are in need of a permanent home. We will place these animals in a loving atmosphere that benefits both the animal and the adoptive family.

We are based in Indiana, so most of our work is done in this state. We are an ALL volunteer organization, no one is paid. We do it for the love of the animals.

2nd - Indiana Horse Rescue Southwest was invited to do a presentation at Camp Carson for the 5th graders in Princeton, Indiana at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We will be taking two horses to visit with the kids. If any volunteers would like to go along to help out, let us know, please call 812-729-7697
8th - Indiana Horse Rescue Southwest was invited to do a presentation at Camp Carson for the 8th graders in Princeton, Indiana at 7:15 PM to 8:00 PM. We will be taking two horses to visit with the kids. If any volunteers would like to go along to help out, let us know, please call 812-729-7697
10th - Join APC Cast -A- Way Cats for the Pet Fair, Featuring Rescue Groups, at the Lake County Fairgrounds 4-H Building from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There will be pets available for adoption, along with fundraising and food vendors available!
25th - Trail Trials at York Hills Horse Park in Albion, Indiana to benefit the horses at Indiana Horse Rescue. Trail Trials is a friendly competition where a team of 2 horse/rider combination go out on the trail and encounter ten obstacles. Each individual is judged on how well they maneuver the obstacles and a team score is tallied. At the end, each team's score for each obstacle is added and submitted. Top four teams place, along with a prize for horsemanship. It is geared to be a safe event - anyone cantering or cowboying will be eliminated. Rain Date is scheduled for May 26, 2008.
