Intro
Animal Protection Coalition, Inc.
is a 501 (c)3 non profit organization dedicated to animal welfare. We
currently have five equine rescue facilities, a canine rescue facility, and
a feline rescue facility operating 24/7 to help animals in need. We are so
please with the support and dedication that we receive from our volunteers,
adopters, foster homes, and donors. Please give yourselves a pat on the
back, as we could not survive without your help! 2008 marks the 8th year
that Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. has been in operation to help
animals, please help us continue our mission to improve animal welfare in
the State of Indiana!
Winter is always a tough time for rescues! It has
been especially hard for Indiana Horse Rescue because of all the mouths to
feed and the high hay prices from last summer's drought. Please collect your
extra change for our horses, ever little bit helps!
Spring is just around the corner and warm weather is quickly approaching.
Many changes are happening all around us, please consider making a change to
your family and adopt or foster an animal in need!

Empties4Cash
Our organization has launched a
recycling and fundraising program with the help of a printer cartridge
recycling company called Empties4Cash. Here is
what the Empties4Cash program is about:
- The empty printer cartridges
that we usually throw away as trash can be recycled and remanufactured.
- Bring/send those empty cartridges to any APC Division and put them in
one of our collection boxes.
- Our organization gets paid up to $4.00 for each empty printer
cartridge, regardless of the brand or type.
- We need OEM inkjet cartridges as well as laser toner cartridges
including but not limited to all of the following brands of printers:
-HP -Lexmark -Dell -Canon -Brother
Remember:
Put the cartridges in the original box that you would have thrown away
after it has been replaced to keep it safe from damages and spills, or a
Ziploc bag.
Thank you for your Support!
Let's raise FREE
money for the animals!
Please keep an eye out on the
websites as more information and printable flyers are coming soon!

Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. DBA Indiana Horse Rescue
Project
Indiana Horse Rescue is the Equine Division of Animal Protection Coalition,
Inc. which provides a much needed service for the citizens of Indiana, not
only human, but horses as well. Indiana Horse Rescue takes in horses that
have been abused, abandoned, neglected, or are just in need of a new
permanent home for one reason or another. The
horses are evaluated and re-homed through an adoption program. Without their
services, horse owners in Indiana would have no where to turn when they have
a beloved horse that they can no longer take care of or animal control
officers would have no where to place these large animals after an impound.
Indiana Horse Rescue's newest facility in
Owensville, Indiana had supported a huge impound in 2007, crippling their
funding. The property was bought with automatic waters already installed in
the pastures, however many are outdated or need major repairs. We would like
to be able to purchase new, functioning automatic waterers. Our organization
would like to purchase the 20" Super Insulated Varnan Field Waterer with a
450-watt Heating Element and over 5 inches of sidewall insulation. Designed
for the harshest environments, they are setup to make the best use of the
Earth's thermal energy and can be used in some of the coldest of
temperatures with little worry. (http://www.varnanwaterers.com)
The cost of each waterer is $695.00(not including plumbing) plus $70.00 for
the heaters. We are estimating plumbing and electric at $235.00 per
waterer and we would like to be able to purchase at total or 6 waterers.
This project total comes out to $6,000.00
