Indiana Horse Rescue is struggling to care for over 100 horses in our care. We hear the economy is getting better, so we hope many of these great horses will be finding homes or you will see it in your heart to make a donation. Our sponsorships should now be up to date and hopefully will stay that way! The many horses that come to the rescue need so many things, extra hay, grain, supplements and care. Donations are always needed to care for these magnificent animals. Please tell your friends to donate today to help the horses! $1.00, $5.00, every little bit helps! With no paid employees, 95% of every dollar goes directly to care for those in need. Less than 5% goes to administrative support. While pastures are being planted at IHR SW, we and many of our divisions are running out of hay and not sure if there will be enough to make it until any of the pastures are up! We are now adopting horses across the United States! In the past we have only adopted horses to Indiana and surrounding states, We are now adopting to approved homes across the United States! This enables us to find more homes and the right homes for horses at the rescue. The horses need a home - not just a stall! With the number of horses needing homes all divisions have been VERY reasonable with the adoption donations for each horse. Our adoption rates have always been $250/$550/$750 but many are half that! We are accepting reasonable offers/donations! We have some very nice horses that are waiting for you! Activities to include:
Indiana Horse Rescue South West will be hosting rides with the purpose of conditioning for competitive trail rides during the riding season. Check in with us for more details. Negative Coggins required. We are hosting Tour de Rescue, a competitive Trail Ride Sanctioned by Ohio Arabian & All-Breed Trail Riding Society (OAATS, Inc.) June 17th & 18th, 2010. For more information click here Are you dividing your plants this year? Or maybe removing flowers, a bush or small tree? We all hear about recycling, but what about recycling your plants too? We have no budget to beautifying our facilities, many of our volunteers take funds from their own pocket or grow plants from seeds. IHR SW has had many plants donated to this facility and with 80 acres we are always looking for more. Do you have any perennial plants you can donate to help beautify the rescues facilities? Call your closest rescue or ship them to any of our divisions, they will be used to help beautify the properties! Shop online and help the horses!! More
