event: IHR SW is putting up fencing this weekend for a Wild Horse Refuge! Come on out This weekend (yes Labor Day weekend) and help work on getting the fence in for these horses! Our wild horse refuge is only being set up to hold the nine mustangs that we still have at our Central Division. We will still need a shelter and heated waterer for the pasture, but these horses are going to be allowed to live their lives out at the rescue as the free horses they were meant to be! We will be looking for sponsors for each of them soon. Please spread the word about animal rescue and tell your friends to donate today to help the animals! $1.00, $5.00, Every cent helps! Have extra space at your home for a rescue animal? Foster or Adopt today! With over 150 animals throughout the organization, donations are always needed. Give a lucky pet a new forever home! Club H.O.P.E. (Horses of Poor Environment) For more information on fundraising for the horses please visit: Club H.O.P.E. (Horses of Poor Environment)
Spread the word to watch for new gifts, shirts, limited edition prints, postcards, etc on the IHR websites. We have had some wonderful items donated to sell to raise funds to care for the animals in need. Click here to go to our shopping page! Don't forget, memberships make great gifts too! Funds are needed to care for all the animals at each of our divisions, whether they are cats, dogs, horses or other animals that have made their way to the rescue. Much thanks goes to Kelsey Guenther for her dedication and hard work on the new Animal Protection Coalition, Inc logo. She has been working for several months to come up with a logo our Board approved. The old logo was great, but with the changing times, we felt we needed to create a new more dedicated, professional image. This logo definitely inspired us! Kelsey also came to IHR SW and volunteered for 3 weeks working with and training the rescue horses before heading back to college at Ball State University. A horse was stolen Friday August 22, 2008 from Southern Illinois - please click here for pictures & more information. A plea came to us from one of our adopters - Lets help find Max!
....I know the girl and she
loves him deeply. I've seen Max and her run barrels together and they
are awesome! And they trust each other so much, he would do anything
for her. Please help in some way.
