NEW Addition to APC!

Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. would like to introduce the opening of another Equine Division! Indiana Horse Rescue North Central in North Liberty, Indiana has just opened its doors to horses in need! IHR North Central is managed by Dr. James Poole and wife Barbara. They began Restoration Ranch to help horses in need and have been in close contact with Indiana Horse Rescue this past year. Dr. Poole has decided to join in on the APC Team, enabling APC to support horses more easily from Northern Indiana! Mission Statement

To provide a family oriented club that focuses on public awareness, fund raising, and physical labor for Indiana Horse Rescue.  Horses of Poor Environments will have the opportunity to see that the world is full of H.O.P.E.  When a community pulls together, NO project is too big.

Meetings: at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Poseyville, IN (Click on the Events link under the Club H.O.P.E logo to find out more info)

Activities: Collecting Feed Proof of Purchases, Empty Printer Cartridges, and Unwanted Cell Phones!

Goals: To HELP the Horses of Indiana Horse Rescue! Spread the word about neglected horses!

Membership Fee and Information

Your Membership packet will include a membership card, information on how to get involved in programs of Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. such as Volunteering, Sponsoring, Adoption , and all other aspects of working within the organization. Watermelon Parade

Indiana Horse Rescue Southwest Volunteers and Club H.O.P.E. members will be participating in the Owensville Watermelon Parade on August 2, 2008 at 10:30 AM.  We will have riders, a Miniature pulling a cart, Miniature Horse Walkers, and Regular Walker passing out flyers and candy. The day of the parade we will be meeting at the IHR Southwest facility around 8:30AM to get the horses ready and transport them into Owensville. Line up starts at 9:30. If you are interesting in helping out, riding, or walking, please contact Kelsey (kelsey@indianahorserescue.com or 812-729-7697).

July 20, 2008 volunteers and Club H.O.P.E. members met at the IHR Southwest facility to discuss and practice riding and walking for the parade.


National Rescue Ride

To help abused, neglected & unwanted horses

For the National Rescue Ride Indiana Horse Rescue will be setting up at
Mane Trails, Inc. Horseman's Campground & Indiana Bridle Trails in Hoosier National Forest
3778 W. Co. Rd. 550 S.
Paoli, IN 47454

Indiana Horse Rescue volunteers will be setting up and camping out on Saturday October 18th. There is also a band scheduled to play on Saturday night for entertainment! Sunday October 19th a light breakfast will be served at approximately 9:00AM and Registration for the Ride/Walk will begin at 10:00AM.  If you would like to camp out during the weekend reserve your place ASAP as spots are sure to fill.
(Normal camping rates apply as well as Hoosier National Forest Horse Tags.)

2nd Annual Ride to the Rescue

Join us for the 2nd Annual Ride to the Rescue
To help benefit the horses at Indiana Horse Rescue.

(Normal park gate fees and bridle tags will apply!)

Food Provided! Door Prizes too!

Any monetary donations are gladly accepted. Please make checks out to Indiana Horse Rescue. Donations of gently used or new horse related articles are gladly accepted. Every little bit helps!

We will be set up in Lot 43 at the Horseman’s Campground for registration of the ride and taking donations the morning of the ride. Please RSVP by email to gypsysoul1024@gmail.com

Donations NEEDED!

Donations have been down tremendously this year. Please spread the word about animal rescue and tell your friends to donate today to help the animals! $1.00, $5.00, Every cent helps! Have extra space at your home for a rescue animal? Foster or Adopt today! With over 150 animals throughout the organization, donations are always needed.  Give a lucky pet a new forever home!


Who we are

Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization dedicated to animal welfare. We currently have five equine rescue facilities, a canine rescue facility, and a feline rescue facility operating 24/7 to help animals in need. We are so pleased with the support and dedication that we receive from our volunteers, adopters, foster homes, and donors.  Please give yourselves a pat on the back, as we could not survive without your help!  2008 marks the 9th year that Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. has been in operation to help animals, please help us continue our mission to improve animal welfare in the State of Indiana!
