Meet Daisy

Daisy is one of the newest residents at Indiana Horse Rescue Main in Frankfort. She arrived at the farm around midnight on May 17, 2007. Daisy is an 8 year old Grade mare and at her young age she has experienced such hard times. She has come to us at the request of Animal Control. She is severely emaciated and malnurished. Don't let her ragged appearance fool you, she still has a will to live. She is currently enjoying free rein of the farm, munching on the sweet spring grass. We have estimated that it is going to take 6 months to restore Daisy's body condition, as she has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

New Arrivals Casey & Whiskey Casey and Whiskey are two of Indiana Horse Rescue Main's newest additions. They came to us because of severe hoof neglect. Fortunatly for them, the Animal Control Officer was successful in encouraging their previous owners to sign them over to the rescue, to recieve proper care. Since arriving at the farm, they have both had their hooves trimmed and have been dewormed for internal parasites. Click here to see pictures Casey and Whiskey!

Recent Impound - 4 Horses Nelgected It is always frustrating when horses must be removed from an owner. After multiple attempts to have the owner care for the horses properly, and having to catch the horses to return them to their home when they were running at large, Law Enforcement called Indiana Horse Rescue for help with the problem. Click here to view pictures of the 4 horses after they were removed from the property and transported to the IHR Main Division for Veterinary Evaluation, care and proper nutrition.
