Cooper

I'm being good, I promis!

Cooper is a 4 year old Chihuahua and Rat Terrier cross. Cooper started out as a Pet Shop Puppy. He was bought into a nice home and family. Cooper developed many behavioral problems which his new home could not handle. They gave him to another family, who adored him and loved him, however, once again Cooper's behavior problems became an issue. Cooper had developed intense separation anxiety. He could not be left alone, he would mess all over the house, jump on the counters, get into the trash, etc. He could not even be kept in a crate. He would mess all over the crate and the roll in his messes. Cooper came to APC in hopes that we could resolve his issues. He did wonderful with us, he was the perfect gentleman. When we decided that he was ready, we sent Cooper out on foster to see how he would do in his potential new home. Well, Cooper went back to being his old self again and had to return. When one of our volunteers went to pick him up, he practically jumped out of the car window into Kelsey's arms. Once being back Cooper was once again a perfect gentleman, we could leave him alone and he would be fine, no messes, no dumped trash cans, nothing. We guess that Cooper had decided for himself where he would like to be.
