June Horse Camp
at Indiana Horse
Rescue Main in Frankfort, Indiana. It was the dream of our
President, Anthony Caldwell, to put on a Horse Camp for FREE to
introduce horses to kids who would normally be limited to this type of
interaction. Every Saturday in June IHR main put on a Horse Camp for
kids ages 8-15 years old from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. The camp was FREE for
the kids, which included a workbook, lunch, and drinks. Every kid
learned the basics about horses, grooming, saddling, bridling, and
riding horses. At the end of the day every kid was able to ride our
rescue horses by their selves, in our outdoor arena!

Indiana Horse
Rescue Main in Frankfort, Indiana is currently working with the
Frankfort High School's Life Skills
Class. The goal of this
group is to teach the kids "Life Skill" so that they can be a positive
contribution to society and get them experience working under a
supervisor that is not a teacher or their parents. This class works on
sweeping, filling water buckets, making sure all horses have salt and
mineral blocks, grooming the horses, and other needed tasks around the
farm.
