Indiana Horse Rescue Southwest was invited to do a
presentation at Camp Carson for the 5th graders in Princeton, Indiana
at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We will be taking two horses to visit with the kids.

APC Cast -A- Way Cats for the Pet
Fair, Featuring Rescue Groups, at the Lake County Fairgrounds 4-H
Building from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There will be pets available for adoption,
along with fundraising and food vendors available!
25th
- Trail Trials at
York Hills
Horse Park
in Albion, Indiana to benefit the horses at
Indiana Horse Rescue. Trail Trials
is a friendly competition where a team of 2 horse/rider combination go out
on the trail and encounter ten obstacles. Each individual is judged on
how well they maneuver the obstacles and a team score is tallied. At
the end, each team's score for each obstacle is added and submitted.
Top four teams place, along with a prize for horsemanship. It is geared to
be a safe event - anyone cantering or cowboying will be eliminated. Rain
Date is scheduled for May 26, 2008.

12th
- Extreme Ride Challenge Held at Beal Farm Equestrian Center in
Ossian, Indiana. Ride begins at 8am. 2 "runs" of the obstacle course
$25. The Challenge covers the entire 4 acres of Beal Farms, with holiday
themed obstacles, such as the Christmas Tree Jumps, the Halloween bridge
over water, The St Patrick's Day Ground Tie, and the Valentines Day Mattress
Bounce. Due to the rugged nature of this event, no riders under 14 and Green
Horses are not advised. Every participant must wear safety helmets and boots
and sign a liability waiver. All horses must show proof of current
vaccinations. Every penny of this event will go to the IHR- extra donations
welcome. Limited entries- you must pre-register by July 4th. For an entry

will need volunteers behind the scenes help as well as judges, entry booth
